Successful AVSRA Referee Training Course held

On the weekend of 11 and 12 January 2025, the AVS Referee Academy hosted its first Referee Training Course where 20 aspiring match officials attended.

With theory provided in regard to the Laws of the Game and practical excercises to affect the Laws to understand them better were done.

The question and answers session was extremely popular as many situations seen on TV were questioned with the correct outcomes revealed.

The next step for the students is to now spend some time in the middle in officiating and have some valid experience under their belt before they can undergo the exams that awaits then.

AVS Referee Academy Opens its Doors for Business

The excitement is huge in anticipation of the AVS Referee Academy and what it can bring to the community of football.

Those interested can submit their application forms to the Academy for processing and get ready for the first year of training.

Students from any age are welcome and if you are not in the local area to attend physically, there will also be an on-line presence where students can attend weekly.

Once students progress to a level of performance monitoring, they will be officiating under supervision in local matches to determine their progress.
